DANCE TRAINING

SYLLABUS
Margaret Morris' syllabus is based on a series of exercises each a set of co-ordinated movements which are designed to develop a sense of rhythm, balance, to stretch and strengthen muscles and mobilise joints.
The progression of the syllabus provides everyone with the opportunity to constantly develop and to reach his or her full potential.

FOUNDATION
Dance for fun and fitness while you develop the basics of a dance vocabulary, increase flexibility, strength and stamina using travelling steps, elevation and balance. The basic introduction of co-ordinated breathing and movement provides an extra quality to the exercises and an enhanced sense of well being.

INTERMEDIATE
Enjoy the more complex combinations of travelling phrases and balances with varying dynamics which will improve your dance quality, interpretation and accuracy.

ADVANCED
Develop your performance quality, stage projection, interpretation and musicality with a progressive challenging series of dances demanding a high level of co-ordination, balance, dynamics and elevation.

DANCE TECHNIQUE
Gain an excellent vocabulary for dance performance and choreographic progression while linking Dance Technique movements to a diverse range of music to develop your range of musical interpretation.

PERFORMANCE
Contribute to a variety of performance opportunities with your own and other choreographers' work in the annual showcase 'Dance For All' and take part in summer school shows. Take a part in national events hosted by Central Council for Physical Recreation and various platforms of dance and movement throughout the year.
