CHILDREN'S CLASSES
MMM teachers are extremely creative and use an extensive range of stimuli such as musical instruments, material, rhythm and art.
The aim is to build the child's confidence to take part and have fun with the intention that through positive experiences of good tuition the children will continue to enjoy and include some form of physical exercise throughout their lives.
MMM's simple exercises set the foundation of good posture and often greatly assist in improving gait, posture, respiratory and co-ordination problems.
The children's grades combined with free expression and composition help the children to develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually and encourage the development of a creative mind as well as a broad movement foundation.
GENERAL CLASSES
As a child Margaret trained in ballet. She found it rigid, restricting and unnatural to perform. This early experience created her desire to form her own natural movement. As her experience and knowledge grew she realised the benefit of natural movement as a corrective tool for bad posture and joint alignment and therefore much of the first grade (the Basic Colour) emphasises Natural Movements. Outward rotation exercises appear more frequently in the progressive colour grades when the posture is good and the body is stronger.
The classes are encouraging but non-competitive enabling all students to develop according to their age, ability and aptitude. The high standard of explanation, correction and support aids student progression and promotes health and dance education. Combined controlled breathing with each exercise enhances the quality of the movement as well as improving circulation, digestion, respiration as lifelong physical benefits.
